I've been blessed to be able to earn a living doing what I am passionate about, creating images. This post is a of a sampling of images I've created for clients as well as volunteer work I've done this past year. I've made thousands of images and illustrations of winners & losers, artists, family, fashions, jewelry, portraits, students, teachers, writers, poets, politicians, homes, pets, babies, nuptials, products, landscapes, transmissions, sporting events - among others.
I've been able to hear some incredible music - notably at the Chicago Blues Festival - in the Blues Kids Foundation tent. If you're not familiar with Castro Coleman aka "Mr. Sipp the Mississippi Blues Child"
- do so - he's quite the entertainer. The kids who perform in the tent have become quite remarkable as well, some of our "Blues Camp for Kids" alumni have gone on to open for established musical titans as Los Lobos, Buddy Guy and BB King. Make a point of stopping by the Blues Kids Foundation tent at the next Chicago Blues Fest - you won't be disappointed, you may even catch a glimpse of me jamming with an impromptu collection of musicians.
Cantigny hosts musical guests, and the Soul Children of Chicago directed by Walt Whitman are phenomenal. They will bring you up while they tear the house down.
There were too many other wonderful stops along the way to list - I hope your year was great as well!
